Soundscape / Paesaggio Sonoro is a sound sculpture where water drops slide upon wave-shaped solid glass rods, each with a different lenght. By hitting a formed metal surface each water drop creates a different sound. The melody created is ever changing and the piece becomes a musical instrument once a human places their palm to collect the water drops and by this to alter the melody.

Soundscape is part of my exhibition INTANGIBLE developed for Fondazione Elpis and Galleria Continua for the 2022 edition of Una Boccata d’arte. The works are site-specific and have been created to connect with the local context.

The project explores the overlapping of crafts and technology in an almost alchemical way. The visible-materiality and craft is inhabited by the invisible-energy, mist, sound-in their ever-changing forms.
